How do I connect an integration to my agent, and what do the connection errors mean?

How each agent integration connects (one click, your own app, a token or a key) and what the common connection errors mean.

Integrations are set up in the credential cards on the agent's page. Each card saves on its own. Saving a card, finishing an account choice or disconnecting restarts a running agent automatically, for a short moment.

How each integration connects

  • One click with Wiro's app: X (Twitter) and Mailchimp. Click Connect, approve, and you're done. Mailchimp also accepts an API key instead.

  • Your own developer app: LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Google Merchant Center, Google Ads and Google Analytics (GA4). Create an app with the provider, enter its client ID and secret on the card, then click Connect. One-click isn't available for these.

  • A Meta System User token: Facebook Pages, Instagram and Meta Ads. See How do I connect Instagram, a Facebook Page or Meta Ads?

  • A key, token or file, for example Shopify (your own app), WooCommerce, WordPress, SendGrid, Serper, Apollo, Twilio, Telegram, Slack and Discord, Gmail with an App Password, and a service-account JSON file for Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Play and Firebase.

  • Reddit isn't available.

Tips for your own app

  • Copy the exact redirect URL from the field help into your app's settings. Any difference makes the connection fail.

  • While a Google OAuth consent screen is in Testing, add every Google account that will connect as a test user.

  • Google Ads also needs a developer token from a Manager (MCC) account. A test-level token is only for testing; apply for Basic Access to work with your live accounts. Fill in the MCC ID only for accounts you manage through a Manager account.

  • Provider limits: LinkedIn posts to Company Pages only, TikTok posts stay private until TikTok audits your app, and YouTube doesn't upload.

Connection errors

  • "Session expired — please try again": more than 15 minutes passed on the provider's screen. Click Connect again.

  • "You denied the authorization request": you cancelled, or your own app is missing a permission (scope) or doesn't list you as a tester.

  • "Failed to exchange token — please try again": the client secret or the redirect URL doesn't match your app.

  • "No accounts available": the account you signed in with can't reach any channel, property, merchant account or ad account. Sign in with one that can, or create one with the provider first.

  • "Wiro-managed OAuth is not enabled for ...": one-click isn't available for that integration; use your own app.

Reconnecting and disconnecting

  • X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Shopify and the Google integrations renew their tokens automatically, and Mailchimp tokens don't expire. Reconnect when the provider revokes access, when you change your app's secret, when a Meta token with an expiry date runs out, or when you see invalid_grant.

  • Disconnect deletes Wiro's copy of the connection. Only X and TikTok are also revoked at the provider, so for the others, remove the app from your account at the provider if you want to cut access completely.
